Newsletter oder WhatsApp Kanal?
Du erhältst die Neuigkeiten zeitlich exklusiv! Das bedeutet: die Email-/Whatsapp-Abonnenten erhalten neue Infos schon ein paar Tage vor den Social Media Followern!
Newsletter können, aufgrund des Mediums eMail, ausführlicher sein, als mir das bei WhatsApp möglich ist. Dafür poste ich bei WhatsApp dann einen Link zu der Newsseite auf meiner Homepage, damit WhatsApp Nutzer dort dann etwas mehr lesen können, wenn dies erforderlich ist.
Spontane „Work in progress“ Updates, Umfragen oder sogar Fotos lassen sich dafür im WhatsApp Kanal schneller mal unter die Leser bringen.
Newsletter or WhatsApp channel?
You will receive the news time-exclusively! This means that eMail/Whatsapp subscribers receive new information already a few days before social media followers!
Due to the medium of e-mail, newsletters can be more detailed than I can be with WhatsApp. For WhatsApp, I will post a link to the news page on my website so that WhatsApp users can read a little more there if necessary. Spontaneous “work in progress” updates, surveys or even photos can be shared with readers more quickly on the WhatsApp channel.
Und was ist mit Social Media?

Aufgrund der veränderten Algorithmen auf den Social Media Plattformen habe ich nach Alternativen gesucht, um meine Leser besser zu erreichen.
Denn obwohl mir auf Social Media mehrere tausende Leute folgen, erreiche ich mit meinen Beiträgen dort nicht jeden.
Über die letzten Jahre haben sich die Algorithmen (also die Hintergrundprozesse, die bestimmen, wer welchen Beitrag angezeigt bekommt oder wie weit meine Beiträge auf der Plattform ausgesendet werden) de facto nachteilig verändert.
Zudem werden Beiträge, die Links zu Websites etc. enthalten, wesentlich seltener angezeigt. Dies ist auf Facebook und X (früher Twitter) ganz extrem geworden und bedeutet teilweise bis zu 80% weniger Reichweite!
Daher habe ich mich entschieden, den Newsletter und den WhatsApp Kanal anzubieten, dessen Inhalte keinen Beschränkungen unterliegen.
Die Social Media Kanäle werde ich natürlich weiterhin nutzen, denn dort erreicht man durch die Kommentare der Follower und die Teilen-Funktion auch immer wieder mal neue Leute, die auf diese Weise meine schwulen Seniorengeschichten entdecken.
Da ich sicherstellen möchte, dass jeder die Möglichkeit hat, Neuigkeiten (wie z.B. über neue Übersetzungen oder zukünftige Veröffentlichungen) direkt zu erhalten, bieten der Newsletter und der WhatsApp Kanal die besten Optionen dafür.
Der Newsletter sowie die WhatsApp Inhalte werden in Deutsch und Englisch verfasst!
And what about Social Media?
Due to the changing algorithms on social media platforms, I have been looking for alternatives to better reach my readers. Although several thousand people follow me on social media, I don't reach everyone with my posts there.
Over the last few years, the algorithms (these are the background processes that determine who is shown which post or how far my posts are broadcast on the platform) have de facto changed adversely and I can no longer reach everyone who follows me with my posts. In addition, posts that contain links to websites etc. are displayed much less frequently. This has become quite extreme on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) and sometimes means up to 80% less outreach!
Therefore, I have decided to offer a newsletter whose content is not subject to any restrictions.
I will of course continue to use the social media channels, because the comments of my followers and the sharing function allow me to reach new people who discover my gay senior stories in this way.
Since I want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to receive news (such as new translations or future releases) directly, the newsletter and the WhatsApp channel are the best options for this.
The newsletter as well as the WhatsApp contents will be written in german and english!
